Privacy Policy
Effective October 31, 2026Indiely helps indie developers prepare and test Steam store pages. This policy explains the information used to provide the service.
Information we use
When you create an account, we receive the email address and display name provided through the authentication service. Projects, uploaded asset references, settings and published showcase content are stored to provide the workspace and public pages.
Signed-in projects are saved to your Indiely account in Supabase, including project records and uploaded project assets. We also keep a local browser cache so the workspace can load quickly and recover an edit while you work. If you use Indiely without an account, project data stays in that browser and is not available on another device.
Public Steam data may be fetched when you request an analysis. Newsletter forms collect an email address only when you submit one. Public showcase traffic events use a server-keyed, one-way network fingerprint for short-window deduplication. Public Arena votes use a keyed network fingerprint to prevent repeated votes on the same test; the raw network address is not stored with the vote. Vote records are kept with the test and removed when the test, project, or account that owns the test is deleted.
If you choose automatic translation, the game text you select is sent to Google Translate to produce the requested translation. Do not submit text you are not permitted to share with that service.
Description and tag suggestions
The current description and tag suggestion tools use rules in your browser. They do not download an AI model or send text to an AI inference provider. Normal account-based project saving to Supabase still applies.
Website analytics and cookies
Google Analytics and Indiely's own usage statistics run only if you choose "Accept analytics" in the cookie banner. If you decline, or make no choice, no analytics cookies are set and no analytics events are sent. Change your cookie settings.
When you accept, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate website usage, such as which pages are visited, how visitors arrive at Indiely and which features are used. Google Analytics uses cookies or similar browser storage and receives technical information such as an approximate location, device and browser type, and pages viewed. We use these reports only in aggregate to improve the service; we do not use them for advertising. You can block analytics with a browser setting or extension, or use the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. Learn more in how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
How we use information
We use information to authenticate accounts, save projects, provide requested analysis and exports, publish content you choose to make public, protect the service and improve reliability. We do not sell personal information.
Storage and providers
Authentication, database, storage and selected product analytics are provided through Supabase. Automatic translation is provided by Google Translate when you request it. All current Indiely tools are free. If you choose to support Indiely through Buy Me a Coffee, payments are handled on that provider’s website under its own policies. Indiely does not collect payment card details. Steam data is requested from public endpoints as needed for an analysis.
Your choices
You can update or delete workspace content from the service, export account data from Settings, unsubscribe from studio updates using the link in an email, or contact us to ask about account data. Email hello@getindiely.com for privacy questions.
Changes
We may update this policy when the service or its data practices change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
